Student Work Placement InternshipsCurrent internships A communication was recently sent out to employers with placements that started in September requesting to schedule a mandatory first report meeting. Email Marwa at marwa.alibakhiet@cwc-coc.ca if you did not receive the email or do not see it in your junk/spam folder. For all placements that ended in August, please ensure all supporting documents are sent to Nicola at nicola.schneider@cwc-coc.ca to receive the wage subsidy. Have questions? Join us at our daily information sessions via Google Meet at 1 pm EDT. Four-year report CWC is hosting a meeting with Canadian Post-secondary education (PSE) institutions whose students have participated in the Student Work Placement program (SWP). As part of the SWP program, reports, monitoring, and surveys are conducted with participants to gather data and feedback to understand the effectiveness of the placement and the study programs across the country. Using that information, CWC has put together a short presentation about the PSE feedback from students and employers that have taken part in the program. “Upon reading the entirety of employer feedback and looking at the key-words that appear most often, we can see that there are some items that appear frequently. In this case, communication and various forms of management have been key development opportunities for interns.” (Table #17)
The chart below outlines the geographic spread of internship placements based on employer headquarters (Table #3): Prov/Terr | # | % |
